Based out of Lyndhurst Station PSCO Richard Williams is a well known officer in our local area. Richard has been a great supporter of our Neighbourhood Watch group for many years.

"I am Police Community Support Officer 14495 Richard WILLIAMS and I am just about to start my 14th year in the role and my 7th year in the Forest.

The main part of my job is to stop people becoming the victims of crime while supporting my colleagues and helping them with their investigations into the crime that are committed on out Beat. I spend a large part of my day explaining how to make ourselves and our property safer.

I work closely with our partners at Forest England, New Forest District Council and the National park Authority and over the last twelve months we have been concentrating on reducing burglaries to both homes and outbuildings, thefts from vehicles, especially those parked in the New Forest car parks, speeding across the Forest, fly tipping and anti social behaviour.

To do all of this we need your help – please report any incident that happens to you, however small, because it helps us build up a picture of what is happening, where and when. Our resources can target those areas. If you see anyone or any vehicle acting suspiciously then let us know about that too. The best way to report these incidents to us is online via the Hampshire Police website, it’s a very easy to use. Of course, if you need the Police immediately always call 999."
